FC Copenhagen's Powerful Gesture of Respect

Beyond the Game
Manchester United fans have been expressing their admiration for the way FC Copenhagen supporters paid tribute to Sir Bobby Charlton, a Manchester United legend, at the Champions League game held at Old Trafford on October 24, 2023.

The Copenhagen fans chanted "There's only one Bobby Charlton" ahead of kick-off, and unveiled a banner that read: "Passion is what separates the good from the great. Rest in peace Sir Bobby Charlton". This gesture from the Copenhagen fans is a great example of what model fans should be like. It shows that football is not just about winning or losing, but also about respecting the history and traditions of the sport.

The passion behind football is not just about supporting your team, but also about appreciating the contributions of those who have made the sport what it is today. The tribute to Sir Bobby Charlton was a fitting one, as he was a true legend of the game. He was a World Cup winner and one of the greatest players to ever wear the Manchester United shirt. The entire club paid a fitting tribute to him at their first home match since his passing. The players and staff all wore black armbands, and Charlton's seat in the directors' box was empty aside from a wreath placed there in his honor. The matchday program also featured him on its cover.

There should be more of this respect in football. What do you make of the gesture, collectors?
